Medical Disclaimer

Ovify is a tracking and educational tool — not a medical device, not medical advice, and not a contraceptive.

Last updated: 2026-06-10

Please read this Disclaimer carefully. It applies to every feature of the Ovify mobile application (the "App"), including the cycle ring, predictions, insights, Ovify AI assistant, Symptothermal Method (STM) tools, Apple Health integration, and contraception and medication reminders.

1. The App is not a medical device

The App is a general wellness, tracking and educational tool. It has not been cleared, approved, registered or certified as a medical device by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the European Medicines Agency (EMA), any EU Notified Body under the Medical Device Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2017/745), or any other medical-device regulator. The App is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate or prevent any disease or medical condition.

2. The App is not medical advice

Content in the App — including cycle predictions, insights, phase-specific daily guidance, top-symptom recommendations, the Ovify AI assistant, the Symptothermal Method learning material, and any other text generated by the App — is provided for informational and educational purposes only. It is not medical, psychiatric, nutritional, pharmacological or legal advice, and it is not a substitute for a consultation with a qualified healthcare professional.

Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified healthcare provider with any question you may have regarding a medical condition, a medication, or your reproductive, sexual or mental health. Do not disregard, avoid or delay obtaining professional medical advice because of something you have read or seen in the App.

3. The App is not a contraceptive

The App includes features related to fertility awareness, including predicted fertile windows, predicted ovulation, and a Symptothermal Method (STM) tracking module.

The App is not a contraceptive. It does not provide contraceptive efficacy, and the statistical effectiveness figures that appear in educational content refer to the method itself when taught by a certified instructor and practiced perfectly — they do not describe the performance of this App.

Predictions and fertile-window estimates are statistical inferences drawn from the data you enter. Cycle irregularity, illness, medication, stress, travel, breastfeeding, postpartum recovery, perimenopause, hormonal contraceptives and many other factors can make predictions unreliable. Do not rely on the App as your sole or primary method of avoiding pregnancy.

If you intend to use fertility awareness for family planning, we strongly recommend (a) training with a certified instructor of the method you choose, (b) consulting a qualified healthcare professional about your individual circumstances, and (c) combining methods where appropriate.

4. The App is not a diagnostic tool

The App cannot confirm pregnancy, ovulation, miscarriage, menopause, infertility, infection, cancer, or any other medical condition. If you believe you may be pregnant, if you notice unexpected bleeding, severe pain, or any other symptom that concerns you, seek care from a qualified healthcare professional.

5. The Ovify AI Assistant

Ovify AI uses a large language model. Its output may be incomplete, out-of-date, biased, or simply wrong ("hallucinated"). It is not a doctor, nurse, therapist, pharmacist or licensed healthcare professional. It cannot perform physical examinations, review lab results, prescribe treatment, or assess risk in the way that a qualified clinician can.

Do not rely on Ovify AI for decisions that require medical judgment, safety-critical choices, drug-interaction checks, mental-health crisis support or legal advice. If Ovify AI suggests a medical action, verify it with a qualified clinician before acting on it.

6. Emergencies

The App is not an emergency service. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, a mental-health crisis, or a safety emergency — including but not limited to severe pain, heavy bleeding, suicidal thoughts, chest pain, difficulty breathing, signs of stroke, domestic violence, or overdose — stop using the App and contact emergency services immediately:

In the United States you can also call or text 988 for the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. In Poland the Telefon Zaufania dla Dorosłych w Kryzysie Emocjonalnym can be reached at 116 123.

7. Medication and contraception tracking

The contraception and medication modules of the App provide scheduling reminders only. They do not verify dosage, check drug interactions, audit prescriptions, or replace guidance from your pharmacist or prescribing clinician. Always follow the instructions you received from your healthcare provider, the product leaflet and the label. Missed-dose handling in the App is informational; follow the product leaflet for actual missed-dose guidance.

8. Apple Health data

If you connect the App to Apple Health, the App reads certain metrics (such as body temperature, wrist temperature, resting heart rate, and heart-rate variability) for display and context. These readings are not medical-grade measurements in the context of this App and should not be used to make medical decisions. They may be affected by how the device is worn, ambient conditions, and individual physiology.

9. Individual variation

Every body is different. Statistical averages and the ranges quoted in the App's educational content may not apply to you. Factors that can affect cycle length, ovulation, bleeding, temperature and mucus observations include age, weight, stress, sleep, diet, exercise, medications (including hormonal contraception), illness, travel across time zones, breastfeeding, postpartum recovery, perimenopause, and many others. If your experience diverges from the App's predictions, trust your body and your clinician — not the App.

10. Your responsibility

By using the App, you acknowledge that:

Nothing in this Disclaimer limits rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer-protection law, including non-excludable liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.
